We are a vibrant and diverse team of software engineers and designers with roots at UC Berkeley and in Silicon Valley. Geekbears is a boutique web and mobile development agency based in Silicon Valley. We specialize in building web and mobile apps for ambitious entrepreneurs disrupting an industry. We have assembled an agile team of software engineers and designers to help fellow entrepreneurs fulfill their visions. Our motto, Dream. Design. Develop. was inspired by our founder and CEO Marcos Mena-Brena’s own experience starting a company from the ground up. Like many entrepreneurs, he was full of inspiration and drive, but was hindered by technical setbacks on the road to the first prototype for SchooLinks, an education based startup he co-founded. After overcoming these technical challenges, his startup later won an incubator program (Capital Factory) and secured funding ($1.5 Million USD).
